Modern and Fresh - Caufield North Project by Joy Design Co

Interior Design & Styling Kristel Marshall - Joy Design Co | Built by NuScope Constructions | Photography Stephanie Rooney

We love seeing home renovations and we love this modern, fresh, minimalist and super divine home designed by Joy Design Co

Situated in Caufield North, this 1980’s home renovation was dedicated to elevating it’s gallery-like living spaces with the new kitchen and bathrooms sitting quietly and elegantly alongside.

Joy Design Co's brief was to evoke calm and restraint in these rooms, to create a scheme that didn’t compete with the layered feel of the rest of the home. The kitchen and bathrooms were designed with a minimalist and timeless aesthetic with white joinery and quartz stone in subtle greys. They added small accents of black to anchor the look and compliment the artworks.

The lighting choices were chosen to honour the artwork throughout the home, hand-blown glass modernist pendants by Mark Douglass feature over the island bench in the kitchen and a single hand made porcelain pendant crafted by Porcelain Bear in the powder room.
