For artist and mother-of-two Summer Daniels, the arrival of her first daughter two years ago not only made way for a re-connection with her love of art but the launch of a brand new business Little Rae Prints.

Ms Daniels, now a mother of two daughters, says she was initially inspired by the energy, heart and soul that came from being a new mum. All her watercolour creations are whimsical, soft and filled with make believe.

“I like making my pictures glow and look magical. I love the magic and innocence of childhood and my paintings fit in the space between children’s dreams and reality. I hope they encourage a child’s imagination and make their rooms feel magic.” Ms Daniels said.

While her two little girls have influenced Little Rae’s overwhelmingly blush palette to date, Ms Daniels is currently working on a blue collection with cooler tones to create prints that have a boyish element to them but still contain her signature touch.

For me, it is all about surrounding them with an environment that encourages the imagination, lets them be little and envelopes them in a big safe, bear hug of warmth when they enter. That’s what Little Rae Prints is all about - it's warm, it's loving and it sits in the world that exists between reality and dreams.....magic!
