Introducing the Mouse Collection, the first ever shelving and storage collection by Idle Hands, a creative workshop started by Kieran Meegan, a metal fabricator by trade and artist Rickielee Robbie.

The Mouse Collection consists of three pieces, a shelving unit, entry table and shoe rack, which respond to the need for good storage solutions as an essential element of every interior.

Each piece is made from powder coated steel which gives the shelves a hard wearing surface for longevity and the shelves are laser cut and folded to form which adds an understated detail to the clean lines of these contemporary pieces. A beautifully cut glass top is an added element of the entry table which is available in tinted, clear, frosted and translucent finishes.

Designer, Kieran Meegan was interested to continue Idle Hands exploration of ‘the space between’ while using his understanding of steel to inform his process, “The front and back folds in the shelves were added to create strength while the ends create the unique ‘mouse hole’ shape which defines the negative space between each level”.

The collection is available in a range of powder coat colours including Matt Black, Pearl White, Classic Cream, Manor Red and Deep Brunswick Green and every piece is manufactured in Melbourne’s Heidelberg which means customisation is available to suit each unique space.
