As a first time mum there were so many things to consider before baby arrived, however I knew that the pram was something that we would use daily, if not multiple times a day - so it had to be right! I wanted to write this review months ago but the whole new mum/juggling work life means here we are nearly 9 months in, but I can say that I have used the Jive2 Platinum hundreds (if not 1000’s) of times, so I can give you my very honest opinion.

Firstly, we all know that it’s all about the look - I chose the ‘Glacier’ finish which is a gorgeous pale grey, with quilted cross-stitch fabric, gunmetal grey chassis and black leatherette handlebar and bumper bar which I love. The fabric is also waterproof and stain resistant, which I now realise is a must! The bassinet (and seat) have built-in head and foot ventilation panels to keep your little one cool (that can be opened and closed) and being that Patterson was born in January it was a very necessary feature to get through those summer days - the hood is also extendable to keep the sun and light out of your little one’s eyes.

The storage basket is easily accessible, and HUGE - I didn’t realise how great it was until I started looking at friends prams and how tiny and/or impossible they were to access, this is now one of my favourite features and it can hold up to 12kgs. It is super easy to manoeuvre, lightweight and compact for putting in the car. In those early newborn days I loved that I could click my car capsule into the pram chassis and avoid the dreaded ‘transfer’ and looking to the future it also converts into a tandem pram - however I’m not ready to think about that just yet!!

Redsbaby have an online only/direct to consumer model which has enabled their beautiful, high-quality products to not only delight, but also be accessible to all families as it keeps the price point down. The verdict - I couldn’t be happier with our pram, it’s light weight, compact, innovative, has every feature you could want plus more and the main thing - it has some serious curb appeal!
