Casa Cove | The Facade with Rendertex by Haymes Paint
Nestled in the picturesque Noosa, Queensland, Casa Cove is a project that embodies the essence of coastal living while seamlessly blending modern design with organic textures. As an interior designer, my goal was to create a space that reflects the natural beauty of its surroundings while providing a warm and inviting atmosphere. One of the key elements that brought this vision to life was the use of Haymes Paint's Rendertex Coarse in the stunning colour, Soul.
The Vision for Casa Cove
At the heart of the Casa Cove project was the desire to create a sanctuary that harmonizes with the lush landscape and the tranquil waters of Noosa. Inspired by the timeless elegance of a Mediterranean villa, I envisioned a home that felt both contemporary and classic, where every detail contributed to a sense of calm and connection to nature. The choice of materials, textures, and colours played a pivotal role in achieving this vision.
The Renovation Journey
Originally built in 2007, the home lacked the street appeal and character that we desired when we acquired it in 2021. The exterior was in desperate need of a makeover. We set out to modernize and transform every aspect of the property. Our renovation journey included a thoughtful extension that not only created symmetry but also enhanced the overall aesthetic of the home.
Every detail was meticulously considered—from the layout to the finishes—resulting in a complete transformation that elevated the property to new heights. The newly designed facade now boasts an inviting presence, drawing the eye with its harmonious blend of textures and materials.
Choosing Rendertex Coarse
When it came to selecting the perfect finish for the exterior of Casa Cove, Haymes Paint's Rendertex Coarse was an obvious choice. This innovative product is designed to offer a unique texture that enhances the aesthetic appeal of any surface while also providing durability and weather resistance—a must for coastal living.
The colour Soul, a soft, earthy tone, perfectly encapsulated the organic spirit I wanted to convey. Its soft, muted quality allows it to blend beautifully with the natural environment while providing a modern touch that elevates the overall design. The decision to apply Rendertex Coarse with a woolen mitt in swirling motions was inspired by the natural movements found in the coastal landscape. This technique created an organic texture that adds depth and character to the walls, inviting touch and interaction.
The Finished Look
The exterior of Casa Cove is now a true testament to the Mediterranean villa inspiration. The facade features stunning timber battens that add warmth and texture, seamlessly integrating with the Rendertex Coarse finish. We complemented this with dry stone wall cladding that provides a rustic yet elegant touch, grounding the design in its natural surroundings. Cobblestones further enhance the Mediterranean charm, creating an inviting driveway and path that leads to the entrance and encourages leisurely strolls.
The end result is a beautiful fusion of texture and colour that enhances the overall aesthetic of Casa Cove. The walls now tell a story of nature, movement, and serenity, inviting residents and guests alike to experience the tranquil essence of coastal living.
Incorporating Haymes Paint's Rendertex Coarse in colour Soul into the Casa Cove project was a transformative decision that helped bring my vision to life. The unique texture, combined with the other carefully selected materials, not only elevates the design but also creates a lasting connection to the natural beauty of Noosa. I am thrilled with the outcome and grateful for the opportunity to work with such a high-quality product that embodies both style and function.
For those looking to enhance their own spaces with a touch of elegance and organic charm, I wholeheartedly recommend exploring the possibilities with Rendertex.
